Honors Onboarding

The Judy Genshaft Honors College is excited to welcome new members to our vibrant Honors community. To ensure a smooth transition and to help students make the most of their Honors experience, a dedicated onboarding process has been designed for incoming first-year and new transfer students.

This onboarding process is required at the Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Sarasota-Manatee campuses and is customized to introduce students to the unique opportunities and resources available on their home campus. To accommodate students living outside the Tampa Bay region, all Honors Onboarding sessions are conducted remotely via Microsoft Teams.

Tampa Campus Honors Onboarding

Starting in May, incoming USF Judy Genshaft Honors College students who have officially registered for a university orientation date on the Tampa Campus will receive an email invitation to our Judy Genshaft Honors College Onboarding Canvas mini-course. This mini-course provides an overview of Honors College academic and experiential learning requirements and benefits.

Next, your Honors advisor will invite you to your summer Honors Onboarding appointment. During this meeting, you will get to know your Honors College advisor, have an individualized session to plan your first semester course schedule (including our Honors Acquisition of Knowledge course and our Honors Foundations peer mentor-led course), revisit Honors requirements and benefits, meet an Honors Onboarding mentor, and learn how to look up classes and self-register.

Please check your official 深夜看片 email weekly for important communications.

St. Petersburg Campus Onboarding

Starting in May, incoming USF Judy Genshaft Honors College students registered for university orientation on the St. Petersburg campus will be invited via 深夜看片 email to complete the Judy Genshaft Honors College Onboarding Course in Canvas. It is important to regularly monitor your 深夜看片 email for important updates and information.

Completing and passing this onboarding course with a score of 80% or higher is the first step in your Honors Onboarding. This comprehensive course covers Honors education, the 'Burg Honors community, benefits, requirements, and course registration. Additionally, you'll complete an Honors Intake Form to provide important information for your personalized Honors onboarding experience. Students must complete this course at least two weeks before their USF Orientation to ensure time to schedule an Honors onboarding session beforehand.

Once you've completed the course and resolved any holds on MyBullsPath, you'll be scheduled for an Honors Onboarding session. These sessions use Microsoft Teams for flexibility during summer travels and allow you to meet your Honors advisor virtually. During your onboarding session, you must use a computer or tablet with a camera. Download and log in to Microsoft Teams using your 深夜看片 email and password to ensure the security of your student records. You'll delve deeper into Honors advising, discuss your current schedule, and make necessary adjustments. This personalized experience ensures your readiness for the upcoming semester.

Appointments are scheduled based on your orientation date, admit term, and completion of the onboarding course.

Sarasota-Manatee Campus Honors Onboarding

Starting in May, incoming USF Judy Genshaft Honors College students registered for university orientation on the Sarasota-Manatee campus will receive information via 深夜看片 email about their fall Honors courses. Students will work with their assigned academic advisor to develop the rest of their fall schedule. Dr. Lanier will attend portions of the university orientation session, and Honors students have the option to schedule an in-person or virtual meeting with Dr. Lanier during the summer months to address questions about the Honors experience.

USF ORIENTATION

Honors students will participate in Honors Onboarding in addition to their regular USF Orientation.
