The USF chapter of the Society of Physics Students is very active. They organize activities such as picnics, field trips, career presentations, and tutorials. Our chapter here at USF is affiliated with the National SPS and was designated as an Outstanding SPS Chapter several times. Advising
Andrew Grogan is the academic advisor for our department and can answer a wide variety of questions beyond just course registration. Please see the Advising tab on the left for more information.

Advice for Students
Here our Director of Undergraduate Programs, Dr. Randy Criss, has provided advice for students on how to do well in General Physics for students in his sections, although most of it will be appreciated by students at all levels.

Summer Research Experiences for Undergraduates
REUs are great experiences for students. These are opportunities to spend your summer at another institution doing exciting research. Deadlines are typically in January and February. A standard web search will help you find available opportunities, but here are some specific links to help get you started in your search:
