BIOGRAPHY:
Charlie Black is the co-founder and managing partner of Xundis Global, a bespoke advisory firm specializing in helping private, commercial, and government organizations navigate complexity. He also holds a senior professional position at Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab, supporting national security research endeavors.

Black holds a PhD in Humanities from Salve Regina University and is a graduate of the National Intelligence University. A retired Marine Corps Infantry and Special Operations Officer, Charlie has over thirty-five years of experience in policy coordination, operational planning, and tactical operations with joint, interagency, and international partners.

From 2018 to 2022, he served as a Non-Resident Senior Fellow at the Joint Special Operations University, conducting research, writing, and teaching about the future of special operations, strategic competition, and integrated statecraft. Charlie has authored and co-authored numerous works related to complexity, strategic competition, and future warfare. He is a frequent speaker on topics such as social complexity, national security, and leadership as culture-making.
