Akanke Omorayo-Adenrele, MSW is an Instructor and Field Coordinator for the Online Master of Social Work Program at the 深夜看片's School of Social Work.
Akanke Omorayo-Adenrele received her Master of Social Work degree Hunter College School of Social Work, and a bachelor鈥檚 in social work from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Omorayo-Adenrele worked with the Center for the Education of Women: 鈥淲omen of Color in the Academy Project,鈥 developing programs for female faculty and graduate students of color. Omorayo-Adenrele served as an MSW Field Coordinator for the Face to Face and Online Master Social Work Program at the Indiana University School of Social Work.
Prior to returning to Online education, she was the MSW Field Director at the University of North Florida. Omorayo-Adenrele emphasized clinical and critical thinking are both essential social work skills when working at any level of practice. She used her skills to work on her macro social work interest. Her work and service interest are factors affecting immigrant and refugee women within social, political, and economical context. Lately, she is committed to unpacking anti-racism practice in social work. Omorayo-Adenrele serves on the NASW-FL and CSWE sub-committee on diversity and inclusion and efforts to focus on macro practice.
