Our Clinical Faculty
Dr. Doing serves as Assistant Professor and Audiologist at the USF Hearing Clinic, Chair of the Au.D. Admissions Committee, and Clinical Advisor for 2nd year Au.D. graduate students. He joined USF in 2020, working on various projects with Drs. David and Ann Clock Eddins in the Auditory & Speech Sciences Laboratory, then transitioned to his current role through serving as interim inpatient and outpatient audiologist at Tampa General Hospital. Dr. Doing received his Bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, and his Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. His areas of interest include: adult diagnostics and amplification, newborn hearing screening, and hearing conservation. Dr. Doing loves teaching; his primary responsibility is training 2nd-year Au.D. graduate students in the USF Hearing Clinic.
Jon Douglas, Au.D., CH-TM, CCC-A
Dr. Jon Douglas is an experienced audiologist and Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida (USF) Hearing Clinic. With over 16 years of clinical teaching experience from the University of Wisconsin 鈥� Madison, Dr. Douglas brings a wealth of expertise in tinnitus, hyperacusis, and misophonia management, as well as pediatric audiology, hearing technology, and vestibular evaluations. At USF, Dr. Douglas is dedicated to advancing patient care and training the next generation of audiologists. He previously founded and directed the University of Wisconsin's Tinnitus, Hyperacusis, and Misophonia Program, and played a key role in the MCH LEND program at the Waisman Center, where he mentored emerging leaders in audiology.
Dr. Fodor received her bachelor鈥檚 degrees and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of Maryland. She completed her 4th year externship at a private practice in Florida. Prior to joining USF, Dr. Fodor worked as a clinical audiologist at a local ENT practice where she helped to start the cochlear implant program and served as the cochlear implant lead. She went on to serve as the audiology department supervisor and cochlear implant program head at another ENT practice. Her primary areas of interest include cochlear implants as well as amplification services including selection, fitting and maintenance of hearing aids, bone anchored implants, and assistive listening devices.
Hannah Gospodinsky, Au.D. CCC-A
Dr. Gospodinsky joined USF as a clinical audiologist in 2019, after completing her 4th year externship at the USF CSD Hearing Clinic. Dr. Gospodinsky received her bachelor鈥檚 degree and her Doctorate of Audiology from the 深夜看片. Her primary areas of interest include cochlear implants as well as amplification services including selection, fitting and maintenance of hearing aids, bone anchored implants, and assistive listening devices.
Dr. Johnson joined USF as a clinical audiologist in 2016, after completing her 4th year externship at the USF CSD Hearing Clinic. Dr. Johnson received her bachelor鈥檚 degree from the University of Florida and her Doctorate of Audiology from the University of South Florida. Her primary areas of interest include pediatric audiology and cochlear implants, although she enjoys working with adults and children of all ages. Currently at USF, Dr. Johnson evaluates hearing for children and adults, works with cochlear implants, and works with hearing aids.
Valerie Schiavo, Au.D. CCC-A, ABAC
Dr. Schiavo joined USF as a clinical audiologist in 2020 and currently sees patients at USF Hearing Clinic while also overseeing the Newborn Hearing Screening Program and all inpatient audiology services at Tampa General Hospital. She received both her Bachelor of Science degree in biomedical science and her Doctorate of Audiology degree from the 深夜看片. Dr. Schiavo completed her 4th Year Externship at a multiple location private practice where she gained experience working with diverse patient populations. She is currently board certified by the American Board of Audiology and her primary areas of interest include hearing aids, electrophysiology testing, vestibular testing, and working with both adult and pediatric patient populations.
