New Book Released by USF Professors Sang-Hie Lee, Merry Lynn Morris and Santo Nicosia

Springer Publishers has just released Perspectives in Performing Arts Medicine Practice: A Multidisciplinary Approach co-authored several distinguished USF faculty members, including Dr. Sang-Hie Lee, Professor of Music, Dr. Merry Lynn Morris, Assistant Director of Dance, and Dr. Santo Nicosia, University Distinguished Professor and Professor Emeritus of the Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at the Morsani College of Medicine.

The book, a first-of-its-kind publication, will appeal not only to a wide audience of performing arts clinical practitioners and health science researchers, but also to performing arts pedagogues and students of the performing arts.

This volume highlights Performing Arts Medicine (PAM), an ever-growing specialized area within the performing arts, which addresses the health and wellness of performing artists.  The book confronts general issues in PAM, presents case studies in relation to performers, provides research-based professional perspectives, and describes useful models to support the needs of performing artists in different settings.

Perspectives in Performing Arts Medicine Practice contains valuable information for medical professionals and performing artists and is available now.
